Protein Shake Recipe for Keto: Chocolate Raspberry

If you are drinking protein shakes, that probably means you exercise. Kudos to you because exercise is one of the only proven ways to increase life expectancy (as well as fasting). Most people don’t get enough of it. And, it’s an important part of keto to help improve your body composition.

So, you just got done with an awesome workout. You are drenched in sweat, your muscles are fatigued, and you are feeling good. But, you’re whooped and your body needs some calories to refuel. What do you do? It’s time to whip out that blender my friend! You’re the Nutri-Ninja-Ninja The Magic-Bullet-Cowboy/Cowgirl.

Let’s make the creamiest, smoothest, most beautiful (and also keto friendly) milkshake your kitchen has ever seen. Everybody… Back up!

Now that you have your nutri-bullet slung around your waste like John Wayne, we can get started.

So, I make a lot of shakes and smoothies. And, I go to the gym pretty frequently (like you). Over the last couple of months, I’ve been making variations of this shake for keto. And guess what? We’re gonna make it.

No more bananas… I’m not sure if you fall in this boat, but I used to love eating them. They make the most creamy shakes. When I started keto I was really bummed that I couldn’t use them, and my protein shakes became pretty bland.

But! I found a few replacements. Both heavy whipping cream and cream cheese add a nice thickness to a shake. So, that’s what we’re going to be doing in this recipe. Throwing these bad boys in the blender to “creamatize” it up for us. You’d be surprised how well cream cheese mixes in a ninja blender.
